About Us

The idea for Flip-Flop Audio began as I saw a need in the churches around me for better and affordable training in the use of audio visual equipment. I believed that with a little more knowledge about how their systems worked, they could grow and be able to spread the word more efficiently. After a while this small idea grew into a greater purpose and a true passion. I have seen so many people in my life struggle to pursue some of their dreams because of a lack of affordable or approachable companies offering the same services as we do. I myself have talked to some production companies for small projects of my own, but was ultimately turned away because my projects were to small or simple. I believe that no project is too small and that everyone has a voice or idea that can benefit from being produced in a more professional manner than a video taken on a phone and edited using subpar free video editing apps. I aim to bridge the gap between a full blown production house and a cellphone video. I enjoy all aspects of the audio and video industries, but also know my skills and limitations.  Because of this knowledge, we do focus mainly on the audio related side of things, but like my one friend once said, what is a great song without a music video?

The name came from my intense love of flip-flops. I very much enjoy being suited up and partake in a whole range of activities like skateboarding and motorcycling, all of which requires quite substantial footwear, but in all honesty I don't enjoy wearing shoes. No closed shoe can even remotely compare in terms of breathability and lack of sweating to flip-flops. I also firmly feel that all shoes are waterproof, from the inside except for flip-flops and as such if it's raining or I have to traverse some watery terrain, my feet are dry in minutes, whereas once a boot has water inside, you're going to have to live with it for the rest of the day and your feet will get all pruned up. Because of these beliefs I have spent 90% of my adult life in flops. I have good friends that have never seen me  with shoes on and thus it has become a part of my identity and I felt like my business needed to speak to part of me without having to think of some convoluted way that makes sense. Thus FFlip-Flop Soundie was born, which I then later changed to Audio, because it feels a bit more professional.
